I’ve seen a few others with this kind of list of quintessential “facts” about themselves and, well, it seems like a good way of sharing more about me.

Let’s start with the more obvious and probably essential facts about me.

1. I am technically British.
2. I was born in Germany.
3. I now live in Quebec, Canada.
4. I speak French badly, with a Lancashire accent.
5. I am now a Canadian citizen.
6. I have travelled all over the world.
7. I have lived and or visited about 37 countries.
8. I was in the Women's Royal Air Force for several years.
9. I am one of six kids.
10. My parents were military.
11. My mother was a gifted singer.
12. My father kicked bombs for a living.
13. I met Sir Winston Churchill, I was 6.
14. I met the Queen, QEII, I was 16.
15. and now I'm bored talking about me ...

• I detest maple syrup. I mean I cannot stand the smell of it, let alone the taste. Yes, I know, how Canadian of me.
