Birthday meal

We went out for dinner last night to celebrate my nephew’s 30th birthday. I still can’t believe he’s 30 … I feel old!

He picked a chicken and rib restaurant as the venue so, of course, I had to have a BBQ pulled pork rib poutine (minus the cheese curds) to snack on. Turns out it was the biggest bowl of poutine I’ve ever seen.

That was followed up with a chocolate fudge opera cake, washed down with plenty of deliciously crisp Italian Pinot Grigio wine. All in all it was a fun, laughter-filled night out of good humour.

I still feel full this morning and may either need an afternoon nap or, possibly, a long walk in the park.
