Weekly Recap #02

Jan 06 to Jan 12, 2025

Mondays are one of those weird days that everyone loves to hate as it usually means they’re at work and, as everyone knows, the first day of work is like a really bad hangover, you just have to force yourself to get through it, drink lots of coffee, and hang in there till it’s all over. Whereas me, I don’t mind Mondays, it’s the start of a fresh week, and fresh day, and a chance to catch up on emails and paperwork. It is, in effect, my admin day.

It does help if the sun’s shining and I have a view of blue skies and the dusting of snow on the privacy hedge, that reminds me it’s winter. But hey, look, I’m inside, in the warmth, and I have a nice hot brew. Which brings me to, That Was The Week That Was or, in plain-speak, my Weekly Recap.

The most exciting thing is I ordered a new desk yesterday, for crafting, which will be delivered this week sometime. I can now move my horde of washi tape, stickers and writing gear to what will be a dedicated crafting/journaling table. Yay!

Watching

I’m watching a number of shows at the moment, most of which range from fun to so-so. I’m loving Darby & Joan an Aussie detective series showing on Acorn TV, and a new series, St. Pierre a Canadian detective series showing on the CBC. Both offering a twist on the usual formulaic US detective shows.

Walked
