Weekly Recap #48
Monday, December 2, 2024
Well, that was the week that was. Another weird week of being busy doing nothing and, at times, flying solo as the OH had a funeral to attend. With the weather thwarting any opportunity to get out to the local park and take some last minute photos before the snow came … a bit of a frustrating week.
I didn’t make it and, yes, we had snow all weekend. Well mostly yesterday. Saturday it was mostly cold. And I mean bitterly cold, like MINUS 14 cold. I did visit a part of the German Christmas market while out for oh, all of 20 minutes before buying a hot cider and retreating to hide out in a coffee house. Sorry Second Cup. I know, I know, what was I think walking in there to occupy a chair without buying anything and, carrying another vendor’s hot cider! My bad … but then, I wasn’t the only one.
One highlight of the whole week was maintenance finally coming to fix the drainage system by installing a new piping system ( a Y pipe?) and now? Not only is our sink not backing up and threatening to flood the kitchen (again), but the water goes down with a sucking noise reminiscent of the devil sucking souls of the damned down to hell! A little unnerving.
Another plus, the noisy neighbour across the hall appears to have moved. Can I have a Hallelujah!
