Weekly Recap #49

The weeks just seem to slip by so fast these days. Which is funny given that some afternoons I’m sat at my desk scribbling away on this or that project and feel like time is stretched in every direction. Which, of course, it isn’t because, well, that would be novel in and of itself. And I’m sure if I were even remotely able to stretch time like that, I’d make sure each hour lasted a week. That way I’d be able to squeeze more in.

All that to say I stopped one project and shelved it, and started another. In that, I wanted to reclaim my own name domain name to host back on Wordpress, and feature my writing. More for me than anything else. It’s been languishing for the last year and, well, I don’t know why. So I’m prioritising my writing for next year, and less on just aimlessly blogging.

So now, for those who are interested and want to follow along, here’s where I’ll be writing/blogging for the next year (she says hopefully):

I hope you'll follow along and subscribe to at least one that might interest you.

Meanwhile … I was mostly off line all this weekend as it was the one year anniversary of the passing of my father in law. We all drove up the Beaupre coast to join the rest of the family, to go to a mid-morning mass reserved to commemorate my father in law. It followed a funeral and was before a wedding. Which had to be the weirdest juxtaposition ever. The priest and helpers were all quietly ushering different families around the Basilica in between gawking tourists and visitors.

Sunday was spent with a lot of loud family so that I begged off, and asked me and mine to leave early Sunday afternoon. I had a terrible headache and was happy to be home in our quiet apartment.

  • I didn’t start or finish any books this week, no surprise there. I have a TBR pile threatening to topple over the side of the coffee table but can’t work up the enthusiasm. I might publish a list and ask every one to randomly pick a title. Sounds like a fun idea.

Meanwhile, another week has started and I’m already mourning the fact I have to wait possibly a whole year before we get the last season of Bridgerton. Me and mine are debating who is left to feature, Lady Bridgerton, Benedict, or Eloise? Or all three? What do you think?

And that’s it for another week. Thank you as always for reading.
