My EDC

Following in Hyde’s footsteps and, I’m sure, everyone else on the planet, I thought to scribble an EDC (Every Day Carry) post. Don’t get your hopes up, you may fall asleep reading this.

So, what do I carry most every day? I’m glad you ask, though you probably won’t be …

Keys
My keyring of choice, so I can find it in the depths of my shoulder bag, is a once plushy pig. And, at 18 years of age, is holding up remarkable well considering the abuse he takes. Pig holds my front door key and the electronic key fob that opens all the security doors in our building complex.

Wallet
I don’t have a wallet per sa, but I do have a coin purse, and two (not one) card holders. One has my drivers license, provincial health card, and a spare credit card in it. The other contains my bank debit and credit cards, plus the grocery credit card. Why yes, we put all our household goods on one card to keep track of spending. It really is so much easier that way.

Pen
This seems to be a guy thing, carrying around a fancy pen. Well, I don’t carry around a fancy pen, but I do carry around a pen and notebook, because, you never know. The pen is a cheap Zebra F-301 in black ink. It’s the best pen ever invented.

Knife
Having been a Girl Guide and, been in the military, yes, yes I carry a knife. I have two. A small Swiss army knife for every day stuff, and a pocket Gerber Bear, which comes in handy when I want to peal/slice fruit. It will also quite happily open up your jugular should I need it too.

Phone
My iPhone 14 pro is both my camera of choice these days, plus my communicator with the outside world. It’s also heavy enough to use as a weapon to brain someone should I need it. I shall probably keep this one for the forseeable future, that is, till Apple decides we can no longer update it anymore.

Misc.
The miscilaneous stuff a woman carries in her bag can be varied and boardering on the ridiculous. In my leather Rudsak shoulder bag it’s the following:

And you, what is your everyday carry?
