Everyone is, once again, talking photos and, of course, where to post them. And I’m no exception. I see this person, and then that person, saying they’re on Pixelfed and others are now joining Flickr. While others have been there, well, like forever.
So again, I’m wondering, especially as someone who usually posts photos on here (micro blog, as they get auto posted to social media) and who has tried (in the past) both Pixelfed and Flickr.
Should I join either?
Should I join both?
Do I want to join any of them?
Because, to be honest, when I thought about it. The last time I was on either, getting anyone to visit a dedicated photos site was like asking people to go to the dentist to have a root canal surgery. No one wants to go.
So, help me out here, people. Do you post to either and if so, why? And what’s your recommendation. Which platform do you prefer?

I’ve been tagged by the legendary B from over on BinaryDigit to take part in this challenge. Thanks for the invite, B.
Why Did You Start Blogging In The First Place?
Initially, it was to join in on this online social community craze (remember LiveJournal and MySpace?) and share in this wild and weird new thing with other likeminded people, not in a library, or the YWCA, but online. With this crazy idea of swapping photos, ideas, and book recommendations.

I started using my bright shiny new yellow Leuchttrum1917 Bullet Journal Pocket notebooks yesterday. Well, not all three at once, you understand. Just one to start with. They’re a set of three and only come in threes, to use monthly (I think). Well, that’s what I plan on doing, one a month to see how well they do and, so far, after just two days, I can say hand on heart, I love them.
These A6 size notebooks are meant to be used vertically to simulate a full on A5 size page (spread) of the larger adult(?) version of the Leuchttrum1917 journal. These little handy pocket sized notebooks are a clever marketing ploy way of journaling on the go. Especially as the size offers more mobility than the full A5 journal does.
And being yellow? I had to have them of course. Thankfully, the OH got me a three pack as part of my Christmas stocking fillers, so I’m a happy little journaller playing with her coloured pens and stickers, doodling.
And what planner/notebooks are you starting this new year?

Following in Jedda’s footsteps who was sharing her first ever Default Apps 2024 and even though I did this earlier this year, I thought to update my list and share it again.

Following in Hyde’s footsteps and, I’m sure, everyone else on the planet, I thought to scribble an EDC (Every Day Carry) post. Don’t get your hopes up, you may fall asleep reading this.
So, what do I carry most every day? I’m glad you ask, though you probably won’t be …
Keys My keyring of choice, so I can find it in the depths of my shoulder bag, is a once plushy pig.

Following in Gabz footsteps and, like him, having never heard of, What’s In My NOW, I had to go check it out and, of course, write up my own, What’s In my NOW post.
Each week one interesting person shares the tangible and invisible things that are influencing the NOW — 3 physical, 2 digital, and 1 invisible.
So, here we go.
Physical Hobinichi Techo — I’ve been using these daily planner / journals for about a decade now because not only are they beautifully made, with exquisite Tomoe River paper, but they’re small enough to carry around in my messenger bag.

In answer to Jedda’s post, The Plan To Not Have A Plan, I wrote:
I find plans never go to plan, it's best to have an outline written in pencil, maybe on a napkin that can be toss in the recycle if necessary when it all goes to hell in a hand basket ... Because invariably, I always end up tossing the plan in the bin, or it gets lost, forgotten, trodden on, eaten by the cat (oh, wait, we don’t have a cat) or covered in coffee stains so that it’s unreadable.
